Day 3 of tour

Bicentennial Theatre, Middle Musquodoboit (rhymes with Hobbit).

I spent the morning trying to find out what happened to the shipment of The Serpentine Garden Path. Create Space agreed to abandon the shipment and send me another to Victoria.

After lunch we drove to Middle Musquodoboit and met Barb Dean of the Musquodoboit Valley Tourist Association and her sister-in-law Goldie Scott who has an extensive family tree of the Dean family. I was pleased to be able to give her some information about our branch. We shared a lovely afternoon of tea and blueberry buckle in Barb’s bed and breakfast Gowan Brae. If you’re in the area and looking for a place to stay, I would recommend it.

After that, we had a homestyle meal at Reid’s Restaurant and then went to the Theatre, a lovely old building that is actually a theatre holding 250 people, Fortunately, there was also a smaller hall where I was to talk because there were only six people to hear me. It was a little disappointing, but it turned out better than it started. Four more people turned up very late, everyone was friendly, I sold 11 books and Barb took 12 more books on consignment at the MVTA. (see above).

All in all, I’d call it a successful day.
